The world of small diameter pipe when working in model based software is very different from the world working with 2D lines, arcs, and circles.
In Revit's 'Fine' Detail Level, elements are shown 'actual size'. I.e., a 1" pipe valve or rise/drop symbol is representative of the actual size of that element in the 'real world'.
In Revit's Coarse and Medium Detail level views, these elements are 'scaled' to the settings defined in Mechanical Settings... these settings are demonstrated below.
This image shows what settings control the display of the piping elements.

Thanks for addressing this issue. I don't feel like you covered how to solve the problems of how to fix the display after you change them. The spacing and gaps get off and it is a "tug of war" to get any type of proper single line. The problem was shown in your first video when you changed the rise/drop size. The line that should go to the center of the circle was poking through the back of the circle.
I fight with plumber in my office over this issue. All I hear is "Revit can display plumbing properly". Thanks for your displays.

Definitely agree with what you stated. Your explanation was certainly the easiest to understand. I tell you, I usually get irked when folks discuss issues that they plainly do not know about. You managed to hit the nail right on the head and explained out everything without complication. Maybe, people can take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks.
